Decorative leaded Panels
Decorative leaded panels are a colourful feature often found in doors, over doors and top fan lights in many homes and buildings across the country. The restoration process for decorative leaded panels is the same as leaded light restoration which can be viewed here.
Decorative leaded panels can be made up of clear glass, coloured glass or both and in many cases they are mistaken for stained glass panels because of the coloured glass.
Although similar in look, stained glass panels are created using a different process where the clear or coloured glass is hand painted and fired in a kiln.
Whether you’re replacing an existing decorative panel or looking to bring an elegant, traditional appearance to your new or current windows, our decorative lead panels are the perfect way to do so.
Many of our customers have beautiful original leaded and stained glass windows in their house and want to keep this in tact. Our restoration and repair service keeps this attractive feature whilst reducing heat loss and tidying up peeling paint.
